Studies have shown unprecedented amounts of children are experiencing orphanhood due to Covid-19 in India between March 2020 and October 2021. The Ministry of Women and Child Development posted on June 8, 2022, of The National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) has a portal recording registered orphans and stated, "So far, 1,53,827 children have been registered on the portal including 1,42,949 children with a single parent, 492 abandoned children and 10,386 children who have lost both their parents”, according to an article published in The Hindu paper.

The Wehrmann Foundation has partnered with Safe Hands International, the frontlines in India, to help supply provisions. Your contribution made on this page will go directly to help feed a group of children with food staples, like rice and vegetables, to help meet their nutritional needs.
